The Airport game was easily the closest 4 TD difference game I have ever attended.

33-26 with about 9 minutes left, and Huron self destructs down the stretch.

I walked to my car after Airport's 70+ yard TD after Mayrand threw his first interception of the game.

Looks like Airport rubbed a litte extra salt in the wounds against Huron these last two days...

84-38 9th Grade Game
51-14 JV Game
54-26 Varsity Game

OUCH...

Airport didn't send any message. I think Airport forgets they still have a whole season ahead of them and still have to win that before a message is sent. In all honest from watching the game, Airport was lucky the defense for Huron didn't work hard. Seeing that Defense in action, their a beast of a line and a damn backers.. I'm almost positive that had Huron's defense held up their end, That score would've been in Hurons favor or it would've been a touchdown difference between it.

GI may not have won but has the potential to be a dominant team this year. watch out

I was at the game tonight and not being a fan of either team I must say the game was alot closer than the score showed. I sure was not impressed with all the hype that Mays from airport has gotten. I thought Huron contained him well until the second half when it seemed they ran out of gas. Mayrand threw some nice passes and Huron looked pretty good for alot of the game. They just lost all their steam late in the game. The Pluff kid from Airport was the star of the game in my opinion and was the biggest threat all game until he left .

Looks like the whole league decided to play tough this year, not just half of it. I hope this continues, it will help come playoff time.

you werent impressed with mays? just because they didnt have to give him the ball doesnt mean hes not impressive. when you have multiple quality backs that can all rush for over 100 yards per game (3 for airport vs huron) why would they just give the ball to mays? And pluff was only gone for a couple plays he had a cramp. Props to the jets O-line. keep it up boys

Airport freshamn game 84-38? Sportsmanship a factor here by the coaches instead of running up the score?

After listening to Airport fans talk on this blog, it would be easy to figure that sportsmanship could be an issue. But in fact, Airport had linemen in at skilled positions at the end of the game, and Huron repeatedly gave the Jets a short field to work with. There were also no passes thrown by Airport in the game.

Sportsmanship? MAYBE it could have something to do with Huron re-nigging on a deal a few years back, and Airport having to play AT Huron 3 years in a row. Call me crazy.
