Nice Work Falcons; Poise and Senior Leadership led the way. Congratulations to the Coach Giarmo and staff and to all the Falcons for a great game today. Special Congratulations to Coach Hoffman and his defense-your adjustments in the 2nd half is how championships are won.

Monroe Jefferson sends congrats to SMCC. Have a great week of preparation and enjoy the moment. You are our representative for the Huron League.

This IS the end of the road for you! You will NOT beat Montague. Don't get your hopes up, only to have them squashed by a "real" football team.

So getting to the finals doesn't make you a "real" team? I'd like to know team you're rooting for, because something tells me you won't be able to cheer them on for anoter year or so.

Finally, a bitter Airport player is back! I don't care who you are, SMCC is a huron league team...in the finals! You should be supporting them regardless of the other team.

I agree, Montague is a very talented, good team. It will be very tough for the Falcons to win. That doesn't mean they can't though. Montague will come into the game with heads the size of a blimp, I know SMCC won't!

Sounds like sour grapes to me. Good luck SMCC! Work hard in practice and prepare well. We are all supporting you!

Well, Nov. 27, at 8:37am, if this is the "end of the road" for SMCC, they obviously kicked your teams butt and have played football against many "real" teams through the end of November. Where has your team been? At basketball or wrestling practice? Good Job Falcons! Those big fat tough guys on the "real" teams get tired out after one half. Keep going and beat Montague. I don't even care if you wait till 4th quarter to get your game on.

You know what, even if SMCC does get beat, they made it to the finals, they WILL BE PLAYING at Ford Field, that means they will be 2nd in the state for their division and thats pretty darn good. So if you want to talk crap thats fine but just remember your football team didn't even make it this far. Have some class and support the last team in the huron league. I'm not trying to talk big or be arrogant, its just how it is. Dont get me wrong, I will be rooting and cheering for our boys to bring home a victory, they deserve it just as much as montague. Good Luck SMCC, we are so proud of you!!!

haha sorry that smcc smashed your team, your obveously from airport!! BE JELOUS!! GO FALCONS

Anonymous said...

haha 2 people blaming Airport for the comments thats whats wrong with you guys...where in here did anyone say they were from Airport? Oh wait there was one and they congratulated you...show some class

Anonymous said...

I agree with you anonymous, you can't know for sure they are from airport. its just a guess. honestly though, if someone says something negative about smcc or another school do you really think they would tell where they are from? i could be wrong but my opinion is that they wouldn't.

SMCC fan--good luck falcons!!

Why does anyone respond to this moron...him run his pie hole and ignore him,he doesn't like CC that we know,so while we are cheering our team on and this persons at home thinking of more stuff to hate on,let him/her.Stay focused play hard win or lose...were goin to Ford Field. What a run.

It is unreal how everytime someone says something about SMCC, their fans blame it on Airport. Any proof thats where they are from? No. Sounds like you take every chance you can get to say whos team isn't still playing though... But expect people to root for yours?

That is exactly the reason so many people dont like SMCC and it's fans, because you're to busy trying to 1 up the next smartass to see that you just drop your ass to their level. Why so quick to pass judgement? So you can get another shot in on a team that you can't even prove said ANYTHING about you? Very hypocritical.

I'm curious to see how twisted my comment gets, and to be told that I am now the one talking trash.

For the record, I dont care if SMCC wins or loses. I didn't care when they made it to the Finals in 05, and I was on the Airport team that won districts in 05.(Dont waste your time telling me we lost, I know, I played the whole game.) I dont know anyone on the team either. So enjoy your game fellas, because in the end thats all it is.

JW, I am from SMCC and you make total sense. People shouldn't just go off and start blaming Airport people when they have no idea for sure where they are from. I have a question for you though, do you think its right for someone on here to say that SMCC has no chance and they haven't played any "real" teams yet? They are in the state championship game!! That's a great accomplishment for not just smcc, but any huron league school and any school in general. To make it that far is something special. It doesn't come around very often. I know its a blog and there will always be negative comments, but to say SMCC hasn't played a "real" team yet. That's like saying Airport or Milan weren't real teams. Both those teams had talent.

No, I dont think they should say anything at all. Whoever said that probably has never even see Montague play, but i could be wrong.

If SMCC wins, good for them. If they lose, 2nd in the state is not bad at all. I'd just rather see a close game in all honesty.

JW, thanks for answering my question. I want to see a close game too. I have talked to people who have seen montague play and they are the real deal. Their QB is going to Central Michigan next year I believe.

I tell you, it was really TJ who touched off the comeback on Saturday. I have never been a big fan of his, but i got to see first hand what determination and guts he has. The crowd seemed to ready to wave the white flag, I saw it myself. Good thing for everyone to experience that it only takes one, then it's contagious. Good things can happen when you don't give up. Good job falcons.

Dont under estamate the power of "PREY" and CC will "PREY" on who ever has the ball.It will be good but dont count CC out, repeating is not easy and we have some boys that will go to the next level as well ,this year and the following year so buckle up for a good one.

Your welcome. I'm sure I'll end up watching the game on tv. Is Montague a run-based team? I know I watched the finals last year, but i can't for the life of me remember their play style.

j.w.

Anonymous said...

Anonymous, I don't know what school you are from and that doesn't matter, but that was a super comment you made about TJ. It was very gracious of you and the comment was accurate as well. Lovell is very determined, has guts, is one of the leaders, and never gives up!

Thank you again, from an SMCC fan!

p.s., thank you to all of the schools for supporting SMCC!

Well Im from Montague and I think our cats will destroy you.No offense CC.

Anonymous said...

JW, no problem. Montague is a really balanced team. I'm pretty sure they run the spread most of the time!

Bottom line is...
SMCC is in the finals.

They, as a team, have gotten good playoff experience, and, in addition, were able to practice in pad another whole month.

That alone goes a long way. Just like college teams going to bowl games, the extra practice time will only make them better come next year.

SMCC is a small team size wise compared to all the teams they faced in the playoffs. They are well coached and EXECUTE, and have shown they can handle adversity and pressure.
Constantine thought they had it in the bag - - -until the second half.

Great job SMCC and good luck Friday.

I know Justafans identity and I know who is kid is. His kid goes to Airport and does NOT play.
