I was there @ the Riverview / Airport game. Where do i report a hit and run accident. Hmmm, i witness the whole thing officer. Riverview just came in and blew up the hole spot. Bodies where everywhere. I think i even witness a young man getting a ball stolen right from his hands. Oh lord it was off full. We going need back up asap.

HMMM??? 41-0 on the score board during the pre-game practice and during the pregame warm up..... I think that Riverview wanted what you call REVENGE!!!! If QB from view does not get hurt how many do they score???? Just FYI to the peeps. Broken let and dislocated ankle. Not pretty. I wish the best for the kid and hope that we will be back next year. GO BUCS, DO IT FOR #3!!!!!!!

Anonymous said...

Wow did Airport get throttled tonight. Anthony Kitts did not play tonight and it showed on both sides of the ball. He is a load that Jodeci could run behind in previous games, and w/out him, the offense line got blown up by the bigger and more physical Pirates. On the defensive side of the ball, Riverview pounded the ball right at the Jets young and physically inferior defense all night. Got to give props for the Bucs finally stepping up and putting a hurting on the Jets. This loss hurts even more now for the Jets because their playoff streak is now going to come to an end with losses to SMCC and Franklin.
On a side note: having followed football for a long time, it was interesting to see that Stergalis has a running back by the name of Ali Saad at Riverview after having had so many Ali Saad's at Fordson during his tenure. By the way, the Saad kid ran all over that Jet defense tonight and looked very similar to those from Fordson from yesteryear!!!!!!

I was at the Riverview game and Riverview dominated from the start. Ali Saad had an interception for a TD to start the game. He than ran for another TD and the route was on. Coltin Cortis Recovered a fumble on the kick-off then Gibbons had a long TD run. Riverview on D was solid shuting down Mays. He only had one big run of 50 yards for their only score. Also I want to wish a quick recovery to Matt Gibbons who hurt his ankle before the half.

CC game with GI was close until
3rd quarter...then no O or D from GI.

GI did make some nice stops and "the Haus" (Mr. Kish) caused some problems for the vaunted CC D.

To many big plays allowed (AGAIN) from GI and CC rolled.

Note: #3 is not "all that", actually a cheap shot and got flagged for it too. I'll take #5 from Milan in a landslide for HLPOY based on pure football instinct, drive, and 2 sided contribution.

Airhead....what happened, league title all but wrapped up if you could run with CC....guess not?

riverviews student section was straight nuts again!!!!!!!

Was at CC/GI game. GI had one nice drive, the other was aided by 3 penalties on behalf of CC and CC blocked the extra point. GI recovered opening second half KO and CC defense forced a turnover in return and their offense scored. GI never recovered from that. GI has some offensive potential but defense is porous.CC was flat early but seemed more poised in the second half. There were cheap shots on both sides and personal fouls were many. Half time show for homecoming was nice.

Dude, the Riverview / Airport game was a push around, smackdown, around beatdown. It was sick. Good luck playing SMCC Airport.

Anonymous said...

It wasn't a cheap shot from #3 that got the flag, it was a result of the response from a different defensive player on SMCC who was sick of having his ankle intentionally twisted by one of the "bad boys" of the island and shoved the kid.

Anonymous said...

Riverviews quiet all year and now they beat Airport and start chirping on the blog.

Anonymous said...

Riverview had a big upset win over the HL co-leaders. They deserve to "chirp" a little on this blog. At least they haven't spent the whole year trash talking like some of the other league teams.

Best wishes to Gibbons for a speedy recovery.

Great game Pirates

Well what do you think Airport was doing before the pads were even on? Don't see too many Airport fans talking now since they got shut down by a team people thought were going to crap it this season.. Kind of funny if you ask me.

Zack Moore last night for SMCC was fantastic last night. 3 TD's, one rushing td, one receiving td and, a pic 6. Thats a very impressive night. The SMCC offense cannot be stopped with so many different weapons. Lamour, Couturier, Yinger, Moore, and Cusumano all impressive. CC defense is also playing hard with great effort from Pannone, Gaynier, Shinevarre and, Wilson. If you were to ask me I would give the DHLPOY to the SMCC defense. Great season so far boys. Keep it up.

SMCC/GI was a game for most of the game! Very impressed with GI playing as a team. Thought for sure GI would be held scoreless from all of the rantings about how good the SMCC defense is...not there...If what SMCC showed for defense on the field last night is considered good, it will be a very short post season for the boys in green. Not impressed!!! Way to go GI for giving your fans a homecoming game.

Anonymous said...

student section fromm riverview was absolutelyy crazzyy again next week is there homecoming its gna be even crazier they want to winn it for gibbi(QB)do itt for #3 boys

Anonymous said...

THe score of the cc game was 35-13 with 7 min to go in the 3rd!!! Only the red devils would call that close. Good luck the rest me the way.

Anonymous said...

you want to talk about cheap shots, Brennan from Huron was killing kids from left to right.

Anonymous said...

Hear that sound? That's airports playoff chances going poof!

Anonymous said...

Hey sitofan get yours facts straight. Personal fouls for smcc were on number 40 and 55. U are very wise when it comes to football except for yesterday. I'd Luke to hear wit u have to say now.

Anonymous said...

I can't see Airport even getting out of bed this morning after that massacre!! I mean riverview locked Mays down! He couldn't even breathe without getting the crap hit out of him. I bet he's not looking forward to
playing SMCC after his 0 line played like that.

Anonymous said...

"you want to talk about cheap shots, Brennan from Huron was killing kids from left to right."

Get your eyes checked bud, the only cheap shots in football are ones when a players down.. Brennan was all over the field, and hitting kids left and right, and they were clean.. cry else where.

Just callin' what I see. I love good clean hitting, with intensity, heart and desire... yes it's sometimes a fine line between good and cheap hits and some people will see it differently than I do.

As example: Flying in from safety to blow things up is great, but head first spears are dangerous for both players....and a penalty too. I would call that CHEAP!

Ok so airport got beat r we back to the begining of the season were airport sucks...? Riverview played a hell of a game they came out on fire and took over in the first quarter and never let up maybe airport got a lil too comfortable. This just proves that on any given friday the team who plays the hardest will win so cc beter not show up next week thinking they allready won i know coach g will do his best to make sure that wont happen but the payers r the ones on the feild...keep your heads up and play your HARDEST and u will win no mater the score. GO JETS homecoming next week theres gona be a big croud. And oh yea mays was not laying in bed saturday morn he was up bright and early jogging i seen him he will be ready to play!

I do now support Airport, nor is that my favorite team, but for SITOFN to keep calling them "airhead" is pure unsportsmans like conduct. I hope someone from Airport finds this guy off the island someday. Maybe we should refer to GI as "Gross Idiots".

Are you two best friends or something? Yes it is funny how i think you're mistaken with Jefferson and SMCC talking the crap before the pads were on, not Airport. And i believe Riverview was supposed to be the 3rd best team in the league on the blog so they werent thought of as a crap team. K.C know your facts sweetheart. And for SITOFN once again your Airhead posts are quite entertaining considering now you actually have a reason to bring down the Jets. First it was the lights that you talked them down (which never was an issue) and now this? You're precious GI team beat them, big whoop? They are 2-4 calm down big boy.

I rarely ever post, but cmon its only a loss people calm down. Its one thing to brag about a win but when the other team never talks trash to anyone then thats just ignorant.

Well hunny bun, I do know my facts and I follow the league quite well =] Riverview did NOT start the league games off well, and in fact started off the league games with 3 straight losses to Milan, following CC and GI... Your going to tell me after losing their 3 first games, your going to think they will still be top 3 of the league? lol So don't tell me to know my facts because I do, I know my team is 3-2 in the league, I'm sure your either a RV fan or Airheads fan where your record stands at 2-3 or 4-1.. Either way i know my fact hun.

BTW; me and SITOFN aren't best friends, we just know the league.

Will there be any other write ups next week other than huron v Milan?

Anonymous said...

yes you have to admit airport has not talked hardly any trash on here this year...which actually suprises me

Huronleaguefootball said...

Nope, my family and I will be at the Huron/Milan game. Topo will cover which ever game he chooses.

Last season I relied on other people to update me with highlights so I could write something up but that has virtually been non-existent this season.

I didn't receive anything substantial that would allow me to write something. Feel free to send me something and I will write it up.

Many airport fans were up in arms when I said they would not make the playoffs. Now unless they pull off an upset they will be at 5-4 and out me the playoffs.

Battle for the league crown at airport..... come on man! Your readers want an account! Just playing Chris.

SITOFN said...

I don't know anyone on the blog.

I think threats on a blog are .... RIDICULOUS, and posts like that are GROSSELY IDIOTIC!

If Airhead has lights...then they are Airport, not until.

I really don't know the league to well (Chris for sure has that honor), but I DO KNOW a little something about FOOTBALL. I'll take the inferred compliment though.

I'm assuming Topo will probably cover that game. I would rather be at a game that is going to be a battle not a blowout! Just Kidding Airheads! I mean Airport.

Topo and I haven't talked but I am assuming he will be at SMCC/Airport. I would probably be there too but family takes precedent until this pain in the backside blog pays for itself.

Huronleaguefootball said...

I'm with you BN, I had Airport tabbed for the sidelines during the playoffs at the beginning of the season.

Airport finally suffered what most fans had predicted.. The pains of of a new coach, scheme and program. Riverview showed up to play football, and stuck to their scheme. Airport did not adjust to any pre-game scouting or even during the game. Riverviews coach is the "real deal", and that has been mentioned multiple times. Airports Coaching Staff was outcoached period. Kits' value to the team was realized as well.

Hoping Riverviews QB recovers well.

Airport vs. SMCC will still be a good game, since "Barbers Boys" got their wake up call. BUT, you can't deny SMCC's dominance. Its going to take Airports best performance from everyone.

Anonymous said...

SMCC has a good defense, but it has holes as they continue play soft pass coverage,it could cause problems in the playoffs, but as far as HLPOY it should be CCs O-Line,without those gapping holes to run through any of those backs would just be average backs. That line has continued for three years to create opportunities to make backs look good. The middle is as tough of line as I have seen in years and I have seen alot of football in my time, hope CC takes it easy on my boys this week although they will come to play.Good Luck to both teams.
