Huron League Predictions

Here are some predictions for the season based on four separate sources. I used my ratings, Maxpreps ratings, Massey ratings and the fan polls from earlier this month.

I awarded 8 points for a 1st place vote, 7 for 2nd place and so on. There are 32 possible points maximum and 4 points minimum. The results are listed below.

SMCC 31.5 points
Airport 28.5 points
Grosse Ile 20 points
Milan 19.5 points
Huron 14.5 points
Jefferson 12 points
Riverview 10.5 points
Flat Rock 8.5 points

Look for my predictions in the coming days leading up to the season.

It will be interesting to see how close the actual outcome is vs. the preseason predictions.
So many teams lost alot from last year and the league talent will be down from previous years.
Will be fun to watch!

SMCC- looked very good..
Huron- looked good, but didn't play anyone
Riverview- more speed than Trenton, but not as good upfront..they'll be better
GI- Nice Scrimmage..what a joke the winds need to change and you need to find a better scrimmage
Flat Rock- overmatched..slow on D, no speed, small
Jefferson-Small, slow, and looked awful..although they did play some bigger teams they were overmatched
Milan- Physically dominated..did some good things, and bad things..never saw milan with so few players on their roster..
Airport-Good size...some speed, but not impressed...they'll be good in the league

I don't understand some things. People do communicate and talk right? Can someone talk to a bunch of people about something and then form an opinion on something? I think so.

It's okay for someone to write something about each team based on a scrimmage witnessed by someone else. I have no problem with people doing that on the blog.

I was at one scrimmage but will have based my picks for the season on the opinions of others who were at scrimmages.

Should I bother making picks or should I just not write anything because I didn't see them?

If Huron didn't "play anyone" then what was the point of a scrimmage if they "didn't play anyone".. Hate to break it to you, but if your going to keep going off of Hurons past, your terribly off. Things are changing for Huron whether you like it or not and the skill is building there.. They're not looking bad this year. No need for the jealously.. Maybe you were sidelined too long or didn't play maybe?

I form opinions of the people who post on this blog all the time. With a statement such as yours Mr. 5:30 pm I would assume you dont put much thought into what you allow to come out of your mouth, or finger tips for that matter. I mean did anyone even SAY they went to every scrimage? Nope, cuz common sense tells us that that would be impossible. Cut the attitude bud.

Chris, you do great and I enjoy your work.

Yeah, SURPRISE ! It's a week before the season, there is nothing but speculation in the air ! Thats what makes it fun people ! The more talk the better, its a fun time... Every team has something to look forward to. Keep breaking out the butter and lather up those teams....

BN,

I can't see Riverview being top four right now.

Well then my guess is you will put Huron there.

I just have feeling the view will shut teams down this year.

I saw Riverview kick the crap out of Airport last year. They even lost their QB. Now thats the only game I saw - and many said it was a fluke - but that fluke looked pretty tough.

What you saw was not a fluke. Airport got it handed to em in the trenches. Although Kitts was injured and didn't play that game. EM

I wish all Huron League Teams good luck in their non-league openers.
