Thank-you boys for a great season. We are all very proud of you and will always remember the 2011 season as one of GI's best.

Now we can look forward to 2012 and all the excitement it is sure to bring.

Special shout out to Nelly, we all hope your injury heals fast....our thoughts are with you.

Congrats to MC....you deserve the trip to Ford Field, good-luck.

Whoever picked Birmingham Groves as a Playoff site needs their head examined. No ambulance or doctor on site, and it took over 30 minutes to get one there when Nellenbach broke his leg. If it wouldn't have been for Grosse Ile having a doctor in the stands he would have been laying there without any medical help other then our trainer. Congradulations to Marine City tere a very good team, and to Grosse ile on a Great Season.

Scarcelli outcoached us & his kid was all over the field. Without them, it's an even game. Hope Nelly is gonna be all right.

Great season GI, you did the league proud. EM

Birmingham Groves and the MHSAA should be embarrased with the handling of that injury. No reason that kid should be lying on the ground for 30 min. And to have no ambulance already at the game was a mistake as well.
Great season GI!

aerifedOK the fantasy is over on Fantasy Island. Nice run in the play offs. Hope the injured kid is OK.
None of you have anything to hang your heads about. For a small school in the Huron League to win a district and regional championship, it is very special. You never know, it may never happen again, so be proud!

Small school has nothing to do with it. Once you reach the playoffs, all the schools you play are your size. just saying.

Nice run by the Red Devils.

Should be a very balanced league once again next year with Airport, Huron, GI and SMCC having nice teams. Jefferson, View and FR will be no slouches either. Milan is an unknown at this point but I am sure will be better than last.

must be nice to have support when a team makes a long run in the playoffs without others bashing you all the way! good job GI!

When can we get the All-League selections.

Lots of Huron League Representation in the All Metro West Team. Kellen Sorenson 1st Team, also that someone earlier in the year claimed was "average"... LOL
Actually alot of Huron League Selections on 2nd Team and Honorable Mention.
Great Season to all Huron League Teams.

I finally looked at my paper from the other day. Good going Kish from GI. The only 1st team player to make the Metro West. Also props to all of the other Huron League players on the list.

Yep.... the league was down this year (just kidding!!)

He was only GI player on first team.
