Airport @ Huron

Airport is coming off of a 24-8 opening night loss to Adrian while Huron beat Avondale 49-6 in week 1. Huron won last year's meeting 21-14, but Airport leads the overall series 43-11.

Airport struggled to move the ball against the Maples. Dylan Meiring and Bryce Cole will need to have a big game offensively to pull off an upset. The defense will need to improve as well. Look for the Jets to stack the line and try and stop the Chief running game.

Huron seemed to be clicking on all cylinders last week. Matt Hartwick looked like he is ready to have a monster season. While the defense looked fast and physical.

This is a match up that I liked for the Jets over a week ago. Huron looked really good in the opener and unfortunately Airport didn't. Pick: Huron 31 Airport 13

Yeah unfortunately this one could get ugly for Airport. They missed alot of tackles last week, if that happens this week Hardwick and company will have a big night. Huron by 2 or 3 TDs. EM

Missed a bunch of tackles is a understatement. This may be a good game to prove a point that no one has a starting spot , earn it. Make them dig deep for the start before some winnable games go past.

Ugly for Airport. Shadow of former teams and years. Not even close.

My call: NO LINE.....too lopsided....CHIEFS

Well this kind of saddens me. I'm use to seeing a Chief write up engulfed with "other team by 20" ... Oh well, least we're flying under the radar 😎 GO CHIEFS!

Haha hard to fly under the radar after last year KC but point taken. EM

To the Airport fans that decided to paint all over Jimmy Williams memorial rock, shame on you. I know it's a rock but it had Jimmy written all over it for remembrance of him, and you vandalized that to by putting a measly "14-0 first half" ... You must not have much hope for your team if you think 14-0 at half is a good lead. Tis why I hope Huron has you by 30 before the end of the half. Do work Huron, and shut the other side of the farm down.

My son is a senior at Huron and he had shown me a picture of the rock with the "14-0 first half" on it before practice yesterday afternoon { Thurs } , I don't think KC is making this up. GO CHIEFS!!

If I could post screenshots on here, I would. Picture on Facebook of Jimmys rock with exactly what I stated, painted on it. Picture taken yesterday.

The rock at Huron was painted sometime Wednesday night. Airport must be proud of leading at halftime.

Yes it looks like airport students/players painted the rock at Huron. However, it was not a memorial for the late Jimmy Williams. It was there long before the accident happened. The rock was painted saying "Do it for 2". Do I condone the acts of the airport students? Of course not. But it is in fact a spirit rock which has been painted by other schools in the past. There is a memorial I believe for Jimmy by the football field. That being said, kick some ass Chiefs.

Airport just needs to remember who came out on top last year, if I don't recall the final score was 21-14 Huron. It's a shame to think Airport thinks they can hang with the Chiefs.

Yes Huron won the last 2 years and will probably win tonight. Airport won like 30 in a row before that. So Huron has ALOT of catching up to do. EM

It wasn't an official "memorial" but it had Jimmy and his number on it and it's been like that since his passing. Nonetheless it will get fixed. And Huron will roll heads tonight. Do work boys!
