I am going to Jefferson/Huron JV game tonight. Its @ Huron. I will be bringing my lawyer to climb the visitors hill. Grandma will have to stay in the car and I am bringing my megaphone to tell the team to move if I can't see. Did I forget anything. LOL. Just kidding. I am sure it will be fine.

On a more serious note, my dinner may be at Huron field. What is best thing to eat there?? Thanks.

GO BEARS.

They have the worst visitors bleachers in the league! It's a trek to even get there from the parking lot and dangerous when the grass is wet on the hills.

They have visitors parking and a visitors entrance. Do you follow the signs?

Bring your bathing suit and go slip and sliding next time, and live a little.

Relax 9:03, I was there tonite. Not that bad. Long walk, but most of us can use it. We are the visitors, remember that, no Cadillac back there for you to sit in.

Holy Crap, announcer really got into it.

Hope #33 ok, hauled off in ambulance in 4th.

How did Flat Rock beat Riverview? Did Riverview pull some kids up to Varsity?

Flat Rock JV looked solid tonight. I think Riverview's JV fell asleep on the bus. They woke up during the second quarter, then took a nap for the rest of the game.

Yeah Riverview has excuses every time they lose a JV game

Most every team has sophomores on varsity.

I can't follow all the jv games n perhaps there all aren't reported . has Milan jv won a game in last two years. Does the Blog know.

Anonymous said...

Where are the Riverview excuses? Someone asked if Riverview pulled anyone up.

Best field in the Huron League has got to be Jefferson. Bathrooms not so good
Com' on Man!!!! Fix the Bathrooms!!!

Its JV guys. You can not put a lot into this level because every team has sophomores up. If everyone kept their sophomores down all these scores would be totally different. Happy for Airport, Flat Rock, Huron, its all great. But next year when the 8 sophomores from SMCC or the 8 sophomores from Jeffersons squad are now on the same team, with the rest, life will be a lot different.

Have fun with the JV thing while you can, it is exciting, but it will all change on Varsity. Didn't mean to pee in your cheerios guys. Have a good one.

No milan JV hasn't won a game in two years. Like everyone says though Its only JV football.

All I know is flat rock who has 1 loss plays Huron next week who also only has 1 loss. It's gonna be a great game at arrowhead stadium. Flat rock beat Riverview and Riverview only had 1 loss as well. Flat rock is rising up watch out!

Quit driving and typing.

In 2 years FR will be 4-5 , 5-4 at best. They get zero coaching.

My bet is that this is it for Hoskins. Other than Barnes and Lindeman the cupboard is bare after this year

If you win at the JV level as convincingly as some of these teams are, it should translate to success at the varsity level! Winning can become contagious.

Airport has 6 Sophmores on Varsity and they're steam rolling everyone on JV. They're playing mostly Freshmen. If the 6 Sophmores on Airport Varsity stayed down on JV just imagine how different that would be??

Anonymous said...

Airport JV did not steam rolling everyone.

4:42.... thanks funny, no coaching at Flat Rock. time will tell

The JV coaches at Flat Rock do a dang good job for the talent they get. They don't get many kids who have played youth football anymore. They are always trying to play catch up. I believe this have been a dang good year for them.

Anonymous said...

Huron JV almost all sophomores!!! Airports JV starts 8 freshman on O!!!

Anonymous said...

It's JV football yes Riverview jv got beat..by flat rock..it's about learning the system and getting to the speed of high school football. .obviously Riverview is doing something right just look at the last 3 out 4 years made it to play offs ..just look at the beating they gave Flat Rock varsity last night 44-12 and they only got 12 because of subs going in on defense. .

SMCC has 5 sophomores on the JV team. Of those, 4 start on offense and 2 start on defense. Our team has 19 kids total. No wonder we get beat by teams like Huron or Riverview with an all sophomore team with over 40 kids.

So does SMCC have about 15 Sophmores on Varsity? Where are all of the Sophmores?

Anonymous said...

Its JV everybody. Its not apples to apples anywhere. Each school handles that level differently. Too tough to compare at this level. Many schools have a lot of freshmen on JV. Some have small teams. Its fun to watch, but I would not be making any proclamations at this level.

Hurons JV has a lot of sophomores on JV and they spanked Airport. So when those kids are seniors and Airports freshman are Juniors, Huron could quite possibly spank them again. Who really knows. Just making a point.

Anonymous said...

Huron spanked Airport?? What game were you watching? It was a tight game until midway through the 4th.
