Any reporting on the game would be appreciated

I'm not at the game. I have a buddy there. He seems to think country day is the better team. He said Cortez gray had a very good first half. Barnes has rushed for about 80 yards. The touchdown was on a 20 yard run by Linda man. Country days Jeremiah Taylor is a beast. Not a very big crowd at the game.

Great. Thanks. Appreciate any further reporting.

By the way why does MHSAA football go to day games at this point in the playoffs? I went to a big semifinal game two years ago. Totally changed the atmosphere of the game. Didn't like it much.

Good run Big Reds! Thanks for the journey!

Really oughta played for overtime rather than go for it, but I can understand the faith they had in the backs and the line to get the first. Great season Milan! You stood toe to toe with one of the biggest names in HS football in the state of Michigan and traded blows. You've done the HL proud!

Still a good season for Milan. You won a district and that's good for Milan.

Bummer to see them lose a close one like that. But Milan, you represented the league well. Keep your heads up.

Just to clarify, Milan was already down a touchdown when they went for it on 4th down. It was not a tie game, they could not play for overtime

Every coach expect their team to get a yard or inch in any given situation. They make it they keep ball and they win 20-13. Possibly lol. Sure didn't put up huge numbers against the DCD defense.

My apologies if you were referring to the series before. Milan could have punted there but on DCD's side of the field, Milan was going to trust their offense. DCD also almost blocked Milan's last punt so I believe that factored into the decision as well

So proud of these boys, they stood strong and played their hearts out.

It was a very very good game. DCD is a very good team. Milan came up a bit short but no shame, they left it on the field and played one heck of a game. Milans defense stepped up today. Very proud of the Big Reds and the season they had this year. Next season starts now. Good luck to DCD and what's left for them.

Great season Milan!! Sounds like they gave Country Day all they could handle. You lose a great senior class but Lindeman and Barnes a really good building blocks for next year. EM

And DCD didn't put up huge numbers against the Milan defense!!

When are you(Chris) going to post the all league players?

Chris Schultz said...

I don't think I am going to this year.

Really nice season guys!

Hear, hear : No posting of all league, just brings the ego out of everyone & makes
for additional editing/work on Chris. If your following the league, you know who the
studs are/were. Hope all you seniors have great memories to take through life's journey.

Congrats to Milan, SMCC, Riverview and Huron on post-season play --
looking at where the teams you lost to ended up in post season play, you represented the
league well !

Another great year of blog reading: Cant wait till next season.

Nice Season Milan. Crazy call on your own 37, but hey, it is what it is. Fair season by the league. Could be some mediocre years on the horizon, but you never know.

Congrats to 2 non-league teams, Ida and Whiteford. Both in the semi-finals.
Only 2 local teams left. Good Luck.
