Jefferson @ Riverview

Be sure to check out the podcast: Jefferson @ Riverview

Jefferson (1-3) fell to Milan 35-31 while Riverview (1-3) picked up their first win of the season with a 30-14 victory over Airport. The Pirates defeated the Bears last year by a score of 42-7 and lead the all-time series 21-16.

Jefferson played well last week against Milan. Nick Humphrey has been very good on both sides of the ball for the Bears. Senior QB Brandon Sovey has been solid all season for the Bears.

Offensively junior RB Zack Guthrie had a big week against Airport while junior RB Cam Rogers continues to be productive in the Buc running game.  Riverview is coming off of the best defensive effort of the season against Airport.

The is basically a pick'em game. Both teams are kind of a mirror image of each other and both have lost some of their  better players to season ending injuries. Probably just going to flip a coin on this one. Just kidding. Check out the podcast to get a prediction for the game. Click Here

26-21 Bears. Offense is looking really good and the defense might be able to hold off Riverview enough times to get the win

This game might only have 4 possessions per team. Looonnggggg sustained drives. Riverview 15 Jefferson 14

Good Ole smash mouth Huron league game. I like the bears 21-14.

This will be a close game. I think Jefferson is able to score a little quicker than they were last week. Long drives last week was on purpose to keep Milan off the field. Bears are capable of quick strikes. The View appears to be back to the old school T offense. Should be a good one.

Bears 30- Riverview 22

I like the Bears in this one. They held on with Milan score wise, and I'm sure if they had a little bit more drive and urge they could've pulled out a W; they're gonna be out for blood this week, and just so happens the Pirates are in their way. 🤔

Jefferson 28
River view 14

If Jefferson could get their grade 10, They'd be kind of an equaller team to Riverview.

Jefferson has several 10th graders on varsity, like most other teams, other than Airport.

Bucs continue to get better and bet up on the bears! Watch out Huron league the View is starting to roll! down with airport, jefferson, huron and flat rock, then have to steal one from rivals GI or shock the world with better state finalist Rouge! Heard it hear first View to the playoffs at 5-4!!!

Juniors should not be playing J.V. like Huron did last night with the majority of Milan's J.V. team being Freshman. Too big of an age discrepancy. Find a place for the Juniors to play Special Teams or the scout teams. Having Juniors starting in the J.V. game is no good.
