There are some teams who are willing to schedule a strong non conference, but most will not, especially if they are worried about getting to 6.<br /><br />If I'm Dundee, I want nothing to do with SMCC. If I'm Jefferson, I want nothing to do with Bedford and so on and so forth. There are teams like SMCC and Milan for example who will schedule strong non conference games, but most don't and for good reason as long as the playoff set up stays the same. It's actually not even close when comparing beating a 4 win class B team to a 8 win class C team. It's a 25% difference in that scenario. Check the MHSAA website and it is pretty easy to figure it out how the pt totals work.<br /><br />This is why GI wasn't even close to Milan in Playoff pts this year when they were both 8-1. They have dominated the lower level of the Catholic league for the most part, but Ann Arbor Gabriel Richard and Divine Child are good teams in their league.
