Power Rankings

Last Updated: 3/16/2017

1. Bedford
The biggest dog on this block reloads. The Kicking Mules has been knocking on the door to be a state power.  This might be the year they take the next step.

2. Carlson
With the home run hire of Hall of Famer Jack Giarmo, The Marauders are looking to stake their claim to the Downriver league.

3. Milan
With a host of veteran players, The Big Reds are looking to remain a top level team despite the loss of OPOY Trace Lindeman.

4. Monroe
Looking to rebound from a 3-6 season, The Trojans will look to a good senior class in Notario's second season.

5. SMCC
After a season of disappointment, which saw The Falcons miss the playoffs for the third time in the last 17 years, SMCC looks to rebound with an experienced lineup.

6. Riverview
With loads of healthy talent returning The Pirates look to be in contention for a league crown and a playoff berth.

7. Ida
With a new coach and heavy graduation losses, The Bluestreaks will have to rely on their recent success and winning culture.

8. Flat Rock
With the most talented roster in many a year, The Rams are looking forward to this season like no other. Can a playoff berth be in the cards?

9. Huron
Chief fans have reason to be excited with a new coach and maybe the most talented roster of the lot. How long will it take to adjust to the new coach and style?

10. Dundee
Boasting a talented roster, the Vikings look to rise to the top of the LCAA and a playoff berth.

11. Airport
With an excellent junior class, The jets will rely on youth and a first year coach to break the cycle and get back to the successes of the past.

12. Grosse Ile
The Red Devils must replace virtually every starter with the loss of 13 seniors. We consider Coach Bodner to be one of the best, this year will be his biggest test of late.

13. Jefferson
The Bears must replace two of the better players in school history along with their coach. That usually is a recipe for a tough season, will the Bears prove that to be wrong?

14. Erie Mason
On the 30 year anniversary of their 1987 State Championship, Coach Beaudrie will try and harness that spirit, to uplift his young Eagles to new heights.

These look pretty accurate. I would move Ida down the line with heavy graduation losses along with the retirement of their coach. I would move Huron up a little based on their coaching hire. Looks like SMCC is most likely a little too high in the rankings while Dundee could use a little more love (sure would be nice to see those teams open every year).Flat Rock will most likely be better, but they are facing a possible 0-4 start against league teams that have dominated them for years. If Monroe ever falls lower than 4, then ya'll are just drinking the kool aid.
